Using Polly Scale acrylics I applied a standard camouflage scheme of extra dark sea grey and slate grey over sky type “S”. They compete tammiya Amalgam and other brands with less expectations but to fit any budget and if you have some experience as model builder, the result will be acceptable and even excellent.

Falrey I made a number of minor modifications to convert the kit to a Mk. I used to use CA glue for PE dials but now I use “Gator’s Grip” acrylic hobby glue, it has a strong bold but gives you a lot of time to position.

If it were a Tamiya model, that is to say the same matrix bhild injected with Tamiya plastic and having the quality control of this huge Japanese company, I would say that this is one of the most delicious models I have ever built. They look good for the kind of visibility they will have. While not a beginner’s model, it is less difficult to build than it first appeared to be, and it’s surely a welcome addition to my Fleet Air Arm collection.

In the end, I am very glad I did not. Thanks to Tamiya we can have a model of it, both were the reasons why I decided to build it trying to get the most detailed model I couldtaking advantage of the fact that as it was a mass production model, it would be possible for me to get a lot of references.

Camouflage was a much needed rewarding step, and it is starting to look like a decent kit, finally. I assembled each wing section, pre-painted and applied decals prior to linking upper and lower wings with the inter-plane struts. II had metal skin on the lower wings as reinforcement for rocket and bomb fittingsand I used the kit’s alternative cowl, pitot tube and breather tube that hood ornament on the nose behind the engine. Beautiful surface and interior detail, thoughtful engineering, good decals, optional folded wings, well-sculpted crew figures Cons: Thanks, although I need to learn to do other kind of wood grains, I have an Albatros in my stash.

After painting and assembling the fuselage, progress was quick and easy. The upper wing comes in three sections: BTWanyone care to explain why that black splatter in the beginning of the video occurred?

If you want the wings folded, I suggest swordfsih gluing parts B3, 4, 5, 6 in place steps 13 and 14 because you will need to test fit the extensions into the wing slots after the wing halves are glued together.
